Our Story
Gary W. Johnson founded Gary W. Johnson Law Firm to serve Louisiana residents’ legal needs. Prior to devoting his efforts solely to the firm, Johnson had the privilege of clerking at the Louisiana Supreme Court for the Honorable Chief Justice Bernette J. Johnson. His duties included analyzing some of the most contentious legal matters in the State of Louisiana in an effort to provide sound legal recommendations to Chief Justice Johnson and Associate Justices of the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Johnson first began practicing law as general counsel for an international logistics and warehousing company where his responsibilities included managing complex business matters that required an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of different industries. He was asked to assess the legality of various business transactions to provide effective solutions and sound advice to the company’s executives.
Prior to attending law school, Johnson served as Director of Research for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Rules during the presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
